Bengali Actor Abhishek Chatterjee Died At 57, Mamata Banerjee Calls Him ‘Talented And Versatile’
Mamata Banerjee’s one of the favorites, ‘Talented And Versatile’ Bengali actor Abhishek Chatterjee died today on Thursday, 24th March 2022. Abhishek Chatterjee was 57 years old and worked in Bengali television shows and movies. He was a famous name in Bengali cinema since his debut with the Bengali film ‘Pathbhola’ in 1986.

Renowned Bengali actor Abhishek Chatterjee died today in Kolkata. He worked with Bengali veteran actors such as Sandhya Roy, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Tapas Paul, and Utpal Dutt. As per news reports, a massive cardiac arrest was the cause of the death of Mr. Abhishek Chatterjee. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made a twite on Twitter especially tribute to the veteran actor.
CM Mamta Said In Her Twite, “Sad to know of the untimely demise of our young actor Abhishek Chatterjee. Abhishek was talented and versatile in his performances, and we shall miss him. It is a great loss for TV serials and our film industry. My condolences to his family and friends”.
Abhishek Chatterjee was born on 30th April 1964 in Baranagar City in West Bengal. He worked in more than 45 movies and 11 TV shows in his career. At the age of 58, Abhishek Chatterjee was active and shooting for a non-fiction show even feeling uneasiness in the stomach. His wife and daughter were there in the hospital to take care of him. Abhishek Chatterjee was more famous in the Bengali film industry in the late 80s and early 90s. Bariwali and Dahan are his most well know and blockbuster Bengali movies.
