History Of Holi:-

So, according to VishnuPuran and legends, in ancient times there was a cruel demon king maned Hiranyakashipu. He was taking Lord Vishnu as his main enemy and was against any kind of prayers or worship of Lord Vishnu. Every citizen in Hiranyakashipu’s state was aware of this prohibition and followed the same. But the son himself of Hiranyakashipu named ‘Prahlad’ was a devotee of Lord Vishnu since his birth.

Hiranyakashipu asked Prahlad to stop worshiping Lord Vishnu but his son denied it every time and continue to pray. When Prahlad was not agreeing with his father’s advice, Hiranyakashipu ordered soldiers to kill his son. He tried many ways to kill Prahlad but every time he failed. Finally, Hiaranyakashyap asked his sister to enter a blazing fire with his nephew Prahlad. Because Hiaranyakashyap was aware that ‘Holika’ was blessed to not effect by fire.

When Holika sat in the fire, opposite to her blessing happened. The devotee Prahlad remain untouched to fire while Holika lost her life in this fire flame. Lord Vishnu’s blessing saved the Bhakt Prahlad and thus how good won against evil. Since then, ancient Aryans started celebrating this victory of Goodness, Prahlad, and Lord Vishnu by starting a festival, ‘Holi’.
