Sachin Tendulkar was born on 24th April 1973. His father Ramesh Tendulkar was a known novelist. He was also a big fan of Sachiv Dev Barman. That is why he named his son Sachin. Although he started playing for Indian Cricket Team in 1989 but a only some people know that he played for Pakistan Cricket Team as an extra fielder under Imran Khan’s captaincy. He was married to Anjali Tendulkar and 2 children Sara Tendulkar and Arjun Tendulkar. He became a member of Rajya Sabha in 2012 and was also awarded as Bharat Ratna. Currently he is associated with Mumbai Indians as a mentor.

In his 2 decade long cricketing career he played 200 test matches, 463 ODI matches and 1 T20 International match for India. He also played 78 IPL matches for Mumbai Indians. He holds the record for most International runs (34357) and 100 international centuries. He was also the first player to score 200 runs in one day international. So far no one is close to breaking these mountain size world records. He was also the part of 2011 ICC World Cup Winner Squad.

Other than cricket he is also a family man who enjoys cooking and doing social work as political figure for India. He is the inspiration for cricketer like King Kohli and had a great impact on Virat Kohli’s life.
