Shakira is leaving Barcelona behind and making her way to Miami, Florida. After delaying her move due to her father’s poor health, the singer is finally ready to start her new life in the United States.

It’s no secret that Shakira has been living next door to her ex-partner Gerard Pique’s mother. Their highly controversial breakup was fueled by rumors of Pique’s infidelity with his current girlfriend Clara Chia Marti.

Shakira Set To Leave Barcelona For Miami

According to reports, Pique’s family wants Shakira gone, and the tension between the ex-lovers is proving harmful to their children.

Shakira plans to move to Miami in the coming weeks, taking advantage of the Spring Break period so her sons can start school when the kids there return.

Journalists have reported that she has a scheduled date to move on April 1st, and it seems she’s determined to leave her old life and ex behind.

In an interview with Mexican journalist Enrique Acevedo, Shakira admitted that she’s learned a lot since breaking up with Pique. She now understands that she can be completely self-sufficient and doesn’t need a man to be complete.

Shakira also stated that there’s a place in hell reserved for women who don’t support other women, alluding to Marti’s alleged role in the breakup.

The Colombian native found out about Pique’s infidelity through a jar of strawberry jam in their fridge, which no one in their home liked.

Despite all the deceit and lies, Shakira says she’s come out stronger after facing life’s battles.
