'The Last of Us' Fans Will Be Heartbroken Over Pedro Pascal’s Devastating Instagram
As fans saw during the latest episode of The last of usJoel (Pedro Pascal) was intent on finding his brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna). But crossing paths with him brought a flood of emotions to the main character and the actor himself.
During the new episode, Joel discovers that Tommy is safe at a hydroelectric plant in Jackson, Wyoming. After their emotional reunionTommy reveals that he has a wife named Maria (Routine Wesley) and they have a baby on the way.
Naturally, he is curious about how Tess (Anna Torv) does after Joel arrives without her. As the HBO Max show unfolds, Joel eventually reveals that Tess sacrificed herself because Ellie (Bella Ramsey) to reach the Fireflies.
It turns out this heartbreaking moment also affected Pedro, who took to his Instagram Stories to celebrate the fallen character. Pedro uploaded the last scene he had with the actress Anna Torv, who portrayed Tess through the second episode. “I miss Tess,” he wrote next to the hashtag “#AnnaTorv” in place of the actress’ Instagram handle.

People may have noticed a three month time jump in episode 6 of the The last of us. Joel tells Tommy about Tess’s death several weeks after viewers saw Tess and Joel say a tearful goodbye in Boston’s capitol. Also, it was the first time Joel had publicly mourned the loss of his partner.
“It’s a very emotional scene for Pedro. I filmed him as a second; first we filmed Gabriel, and then I noticed that every time we repeated, Pedro was crying,” Žbanić told Amount. “He wasn’t on camera, but he was crying because he gave his partner everything so that he can act … I was amazed by Pedro’s talent.”
Despite filming for the first season of The last of us is finished and the streamer has plans for season 2, it seems that it will be a while before Pedro forgets certain moments from the last few episodes.
