The Gold Coast SUNS have officially announced that Damien Hardwick will be taking on the role of AFL Senior Coach. With an impressive track record as a triple Premiership-winning Senior Coach, Hardwick has inked a six-year contract to lead the SUNS until at least the end of 2029.

Chairman of the Gold Coast SUNS, Bob East, expressed the club’s excitement about having a coach of Hardwick’s caliber joining the team. He emphasized the club’s commitment to building upon the existing strong foundation and striving for success.

During his 14 seasons as Richmond’s Senior Coach, he achieved a 56% winning record and led the team to three premierships in 2017, 2019, and 2020.
