Comedian Kevin Hart, who is 44 years old, recently experienced an unfortunate injury after an impromptu 40-yard dash race against former New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley, aged 34. The outcome of the race left Hart with torn muscles in his hips and lower abdomen, rendering him temporarily reliant on a wheelchair.
A video capturing the race that led to Hart’s injury has been released by Ridley on his Instagram account. In a cheeky caption accompanying the video, Ridley playfully taunted Hart with the words “Gotcha?? Got whooo?!” and tagged Hart. Hart took to his own Instagram account to share the backstory of the race and express his regrets. He recounted, “Stevan Ridley and I got into a little debate about who was faster, which, for those who know me, know that I’m pretty fast.”
Hart continued, “Stevan said, ‘Kev, there’s no way you can beat me,’ to which I confidently responded, ‘Bet.’ He said, ‘Bet.’ So, we hit the track, ran the 40-yard dash, and folks, I pushed myself a bit too hard.”
In a lighthearted manner, Hart explained his injuries, humorously admitting he wasn’t sure what his “abductors” were, but he managed to tear them during the race. He quipped, “I can’t walk, and I’m 44… Why was I even competing at this age? What was I thinking? Now I can’t even walk.”
In a subsequent video, Hart revealed he would be facing a six-to-eight-week recovery period and issued a playful warning to his friends who had teased him about racing a former NFL running back. He said, “To all my friends who called and laughed at me, once I’m back on my feet, I’m coming for you. We’ll be back. This road to recovery is going to be quite the journey.”
Fans and followers flooded the comment section with their reactions and well-wishes. One supporter commented, “Michael Imperioli is one of the kings of smooth,” while another praised the content.
Several fans appreciated Kevin and his partner, calling them a “remarkable, brilliant couple” who serve as an inspiration. Someone even dubbed Kevin as a total “BOSS.”
Hart candidly shared the extent of his injuries, stating, “I tore my lower abdomen, my abductors are torn, and I don’t even know what those are, but I tore them. I can’t walk.” You should also From Tomboy to Supermodel Sensation Miranda Kerr’s Inspiring Journey.
