The event promises to be a musical extravaganza, featuring all your favorite hits from his 2020 album, “After Hours,” alongside tracks from his critically acclaimed album, “Dawn DM.”

Following his performances in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, it’s no doubt that The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, will pack out all four Australasian shows.

Aside from his musical endeavors, the 33-year-old artist recently took on the role of entreprenuer and cult leader Tedros in the short-lived HBO series “The Idol.”

In a candid interview with W Magazine in May, Tesfaye revealed his plans to transition from The Weeknd moniker to performing under his birth name.

New Zealand fans are in for a treat, with an exclusive ticket pre-sale available from August 25 at 11am until August 29 at 10pm.

Subsequently, the Live Nation pre-sale will run for 23 hours, starting from August 31 and ending on September 1, followed by the general ticket sale at 11am.

The Weeknd’s global stadium tour has been a tour de force, consistently breaking attendance records. Recent milestones include smashing attendance records at London Stadium, where a staggering 160,000 fans flocked to witness the spectacle over two nights.

The artist also made history in Nice, France, with sold-out shows that drew in 70,000 attendees across two nights.

The tour itself is a belated celebration of Tesfaye’s chart-topping albums, “After Hours” (2020) and “Dawn FM” (2022), which reigned supreme on the charts in Australia and New Zealand.

This marks Tesfaye’s triumphant return to the Australian and New Zealand stages after an absence of almost six years. Since his last tour in December 2017, he has blessed us with his fourth and fifth studio albums: “After Hours” (2020) and “Dawn FM” (2022).

Currently, Tesfaye is in the midst of a worldwide tour to support these albums, having conquered North America in the latter half of 2022, followed by a European leg that concluded earlier this month.
