Miranda Lambert Opens Up About Being a Stepmom to Brendan McLoughlin’s Son

Miranda Lambert is not only a three-time Grammy winner, an eight-time CMT Music Awards winner, and overall one of the most influential women in country music. She’s also a great stepmom.

Miranda, 39, who married husband Brendan McLoughlin31, in a private ceremony in 2019, just celebrated her fourth wedding anniversary with the former NYPD officer, and fans have speculated whether the couple could be adding a new addition to their family soon.

But what many people don’t know is that Miranda and Brendan already have one child in their family, Brendan’s 3-year-old son Land on, who was just an infant when the two married. Brendan shares Landon with ex Kaihla Rettinger.

The country singer has always been open about wanting to have children. After sharing with The voicepp Blake Shelton Back in 2015, after four years of marriage, Blake himself told us that although they were thinking about children, they were both focused on maturing a little.

“I think I have a lot of growing up to do before I start raising kids,” Blake shared Us Weekly back in 2015. “And she says the same thing.”

Lucky for Miranda, after seeing Brendan further Good morning America back in November 2018, she got the chance to do it as a stepmom to Brendan’s little boy – and it’s clear she’s over the moon.

“My stepson is amazing,” Miranda added Extra back in 2019. “I love that whole phase … It’s good practice but I still get to go into rock and roll mode, which I really enjoy.”

Although Landon lives full-time with his mother in New York City, Miranda and Brendan make it a priority to see him, even buying a place in the Big Apple to make it easier to travel back and forth from Nashville.

“We have the best of both worlds,” she said Extra in another interview. “We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget, then we get to come back to the farm and have the quiet life. I enjoy the balance.”

“It’s always an honor to be called your husband. You are the most beautiful person inside and out,” he wrote in the caption. “You have the biggest heart and it shows every day through your love for others and animals. Can’t wait to celebrate many more. Just wanted to say happy birthday and I love you. ❤️🥳❤️🎂.”

And for all the fans speculating if Landon could be getting a sibling anytime soon? According to a February 2022 report from Us Weeklythe couple hopes that will happen.

“She and Brendan decided after their third wedding anniversary that they were going to start trying,” a source told the magazine. “Miranda is over the moon and Brendan has always wanted to do it [have kids with her].”
