Jersey Movie Review:- The long-awaited movie by Shahid Kapoor is in cinemas today. It’s been 3 years since we saw sin Shahid in Kabir Singh. Jersey is the remake of the 2019 Telugu movie ‘Jersey’. Now That the Jersey movie is in cinemas, fans cannot stop talking about the talented Shahid Kapoor. This movie is a Sports Drama movie about a struggling Ranaji Player Arjun Talwar. Shahid looks sincere compared to his rugged eccentric looks in his last movie Kabir Singh.

While Shahid Kapoor is in the lead role as Arjun Talwar. He is struggling as an unsuccessful Ranaji player who wishes to play for the Indian national cricket team. His father Pankaj Kapoor plays the role of veteran cricketer and coach to Arjun Talwar. The role of his wife is played by Mrunal Thakur who is also the breadwinner of the family. The role of his son is played by Original 2019 movie actor Ronit Kamra. The movie is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. He also directed the original 2019 Telugu version of the movie.

Jersey Movie Story Plot
This movie has a sports drama theme. The movie shows a 26 yr old Ranaji player who gets married and quits his dream. 10 years later he has a son who wants a jersey but Arjun cannot afford it. The movie also represents the dynamics of various relationships held by Arjun. It shows a relationship between an unsuccessful cricketer and his working wife. It also shows the struggle of a father who wants to make his son proud. It also shows the relationship with his coach who also fills the role of his father somehow.
Most importantly the movie shows the relationship between a man and his dream which is cricket in this case.
Jersey Movie Review – Our Rating
The movie overall does justice to the theme of the movie. Shahid was excellent in this movie and could be classified as one of his best works. Pankaj Kapoor with his small appearance in the movie made us nostalgic for the great actor he was. Mrunal Thakur played the role just as well as the original. The movie showcases a 2 states kind of theme where north and south Indian marriage follows with typical racist humor and drama. The movie was 3 hours long which was not necessary. The ending of the movie had a twist that was different from the original. Rests of the scene were scene-to-scene copies from the original 2019 Telugu version. Our rating for the film Jersy review is 3 out of 5 points.
